Die Kalkoonde is an old lime-kiln factory about 11 kilometres from Wellington, restored with an industrial-chic feel and set in a valley on a working farm. Ceremonies are held in an amphitheatre overlooking a dam, with an indoor space as back-up if the weather turns. The reception hall seats up to 120.
The venue is booked for exclusive use with an in-house coordinator, a licensed bar and in-house flowers and décor if you want them, though outside suppliers are welcome. Catering is through preferred caterers, including Halaal-certified options, and a registered outside caterer may be used. Couples choose between a near-all-inclusive package and a venue-only option.
