Nooitgedacht Estate

Nooitgedacht is about four kilometres from Stellenbosch on the Koelenhof road, with lawns under old oaks, orchards and vineyards around a Cape Dutch homestead dating to 1774. Ceremonies are held either in the chapel next to the cellar, which seats 170, or outside in the gardens.

Receptions are in the original cellar, which seats a minimum of 120 with a dance floor and up to 300 without. Catering is done in-house, with outside caterers only permitted for Halaal or Kosher requirements; the spit-roasted deboned leg of lamb is the signature dish. A bridal suite in the manor house and three en-suite rooms in a converted outbuilding are available to the wedding party.
